Cupcake Extravaganza

Campers will learn how to make a variety of delicious cupcakes. They will also learn to make elaborate cupcake designs each day, and face-off in Cupcake Wars on the final day!

How long are the Kids Summer Culinary Camps?

The morning session of camp (ages 8-11  is 3 hours long, from 8:30am-11:30pm, Monday-Thursday.

The afternoon session of camp (ages 12-15) is 3 hours long, from 1:00pm-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday.

***Please do not drop your camper more than 15 minutes before camp begins, nor pick up your camper more than 15 minutes after camp ends.***

 

Where are your Kids Summer Culinary Camps located?

We are located at 108 E. Poinsett Street in Downtown Greer. You can find parking behind our building in the parking lot across the street from the Greer Police Station. The turn-in is between The Strip Club Steakhouse 104 and Ira's Chicken. Please walk around to the front of the building to sign your camper in and out of camp each day.

What ages to the campers have to be to register?

The morning session of camp is for ages 8-11. The afternoon session of camp is for ages 12-15. The difference between the morning and afternoon sessions is the level of difficulty introduced. 

 

What does a typical day at camp look like?

Campers will begin each day with an overview of the day and what recipes they'll be covering. Campers will spend the rest of the session working in teams of 2 (with the exception of Advanced Culinary Arts where campers will work independently) to complete each recipe with the help and guidance of the Culinary Instructors and Staff. The campers have a 30 minute snack break in the middle of the session, where they will enjoy what they've made thus far. Campers will get to bring home all of their creations and recipes to enjoy outside of camp and share with family and friends!

What does my camper need to wear, and what do they need to bring?

Please wear closed toed non-slip shoes and dress appropriately for a cooking environment. For safety and sanitary reasons, open toed shoes **including flip-flops and sandals** are not allowed to be worn. We also recommend wearing minimal jewelry and bringing a hair tie if you have long hair. Please have your child bring their apron/chef coat with them each day, and to bring their recipes with them if they choose to bring them home for an evening. 

How Many Kids will be registered per camp?

There will be 12 campers at each camp and 6 cooking stations. Campers will work in teams of two to work through recipes together and hopefully make a friend! For our Advanced Culinary Arts Camp, only 6 campers will be registered, as they work at their own individual cooking stations.

 

 

Does my child need any prior cooking experience?

No prior cooking experience is required unless you are signing your child up for the Advanced Culinary Arts Camp. In this case, we recommend that your child has attended at least one of our camps.
