Is there a cancellation policy?
When you reserve a spot for a cooking class, full payment is required at the time the reservation is made. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover cards. If you cancel at least 7 days prior to the start of classes, your payment will be refunded in full. If reservation is cancelled 48 hours prior to the class we will refund a full credit to your Plate 108 account to use towards another class.
***If less than 48 hour notice is given you will forfeit 50% of your payment and the other 50% will be credited to your Plate 108 account to use towards another class. "No Shows" will forfeit 100% of their payment and no credit will be given. Cancellations days in advance will have a choice to receive credit on their Plate 108 account or credit card.***
If Plate 108 must cancel a class or event due to unforeseen circumstances you will have the choice of receiving a refund or a credit for that particular day towards other offerings. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, Plate 108 will contact the person(s) registered and arrange a credit or a refund. If a class is canceled due to inclement weather we can't always reschedule for a date that meets all the customers schedules, so we will credit your Plate 108 account or refund your credit card for the cost of the class in the event the make-up date does not work with your schedule.
Kids Culinary Camps
If you cancel at least 30 days prior to the start of camp, your payment will be refunded. If you cancel within 30 days of the start of camp, your payment will be forfeited unless the spot is taken by another child.
Kid's & Teens Birthday Parties
When you reserve our space for a birthday party, a deposit is required at the time the reservation is made. Full payment is due one week prior to the event. A 10% service fee is added to all kids parties.
How long are the classes?
Classes are usually 2 hours long.
What if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?
We try to be as accommodating as possible for anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions. If you believe the menu you are wanting to sign up for may pose issues with your food allergies or sensitivities, please call 864-915-2640 or email firstname.lastname@example.org before registering so that we can make sure accommodations can be made. Once we confirm that a substitution or omission can be made, please make sure to indicate when registering for the class what your food allergies are, so that we have that information on record and we can be best prepared.
What should I wear to class?
We recommend that you wear closed-toe shoes to a Participation class and to dress appropriately for a cooking environment. Open-toed shoes, and flip flops are not allowed to be worn during Participation classes. We will provide an apron during the cooking class. We also recommend minimal jewelry and bring a hair tie if you have long hair.
Open-toe shoes are permitted if the class you are taking is Demonstration.
What methods of payment do you accept ?
Our online system allows us to accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
Is it safe to use my credit card on-line ?
Online payment via credit card is secure, fast, easy and will guarantee that your registration is processed immediately.
Can I Bring My Own Wine/Beer ?
Unfortunately, our liquor license does not allow outside beverages in our space. However, we have an extensive bar that you can purchase from during class. You're sure to find something you love!
